Old Sturbridge Village is currently seeking a motivated person to join our restaurant team (non-costumed role). Working with the Executive Chef, the Team Member will support the expansion of the Village’s food offerings. Candidates should be passionate, innovative, self-driven and consistent. An ideal position for someone that wants to get started in the culinary field learning from our skilled staff. Job Responsibilities:

· Working with the Executive Chef assists with prep and production of food for the new Ox & Yoke Café including seasonal sandwiches, soups, Paninis and more.

· Help to maintain cleanliness, stock control, organization and standards of operations.

• Ability to follow existing recipes, measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients.

· Help to ensure that the production, preparation and presentation of food are of the highest quality.

· Competent knowledge and application of food preparations and procedures

· Promotes diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility.

· Support the Food & Beverage Team as needed

Qualifications:
Applicant must be over 18 years old. High school degree or equivalent

· Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups.

· Must possess strong customer service skills, positive attitude, friendly and upbeat personality.

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for 5 hours or more

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

· Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.

· Will maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen (ServSafe training will be provided)

• Must be available to work weekdays, holidays, weekend and seasonal evenings

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17 per hour based on experience
