Part of the Senior Leadership Team, reporting to the CEO, the Sales & Marketing Director is responsible for executing the Company’s aerospace global sales strategy, initiating contact and managing relationships with existing and potential customers, and leading the sales team in the aerospace manufacturing industry.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directs sales operations including planning and forecasting, account management, new customer acquisition, deal pipeline, sales administration, and customer service functions.
- Develop annual sales plans in support of organizational strategy and objectives, managing short and long-term business strategy in the aerospace market.
- Cultivate relationships to grow the business and retain and develop existing client base.
- Negotiate prices and other key business terms with customer representatives.
- Oversee projects associated with key accounts.
- Cross department collaboration with quality assurance.
- Act as liaison for internal and external communications with key accounts and ensure a positive relationship with assigned accounts.
- Responsible for staff management and development.
- Ensure that all personnel working under your supervision adhere and fully comply with the Company’s Code of Conduct and ethics.
- Up to 25% travel is required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor's in Business Management, Engineering, or a related field with 10 years of sales experience is required.
Five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment or the aerospace industry is strongly preferred.
A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
Contract management and project management experience is a plus.
Familiarity with a customer account management system, the MS Office Suite, and ERP systems is required.
Strong background in implementing change and working with other leadership team members in a people-centric environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person, over the telephone, and on the production floor.
Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly in person, over the telephone, and on the production floor.
Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including visual examination of manufactured parts and reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
Other: May require frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 30 pounds unassisted, including assisting co-workers when required. Adequate physical ability including sufficient manual dexterity to perform the requisite manufacturing duties. Requires frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting, and sitting, with some heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift.
