Essential Duties:
- Responsible for day-to-day leadership of the sales team and all decisions and actions of personnel under his/her jurisdiction.
- Create methods and tools to develop sales team on a personal and professional basis. Facilitate managing the career paths of sales team.
- Ensure business activity and development is managed through company required software programs. Ensure company-sponsored tools for time and territory management are being used appropriately.
- Build rapport and relationships with key customers.
- Be actively involved in community and business organizations.
- Select, train, direct and motivate employees; appraise performance and create development plans, recommend salary and account actions for subordinates to assure a stable and competent organization.
- Coordinate with Corporate Account Development and carry out the management of sales efforts with target accounts within the division.
- Establish objectives for sales team on promotions and major new products.
- Assists with planning special events such as trade shows, banquets, and seminars.
- Previous Sales and Management experience preferably in a distribution environment. Exceptional people skills.
- LEED accredited professional preferred.
- Strong written and verbal presentation skills utilizing Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills utilizing Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to learn and utilize Prophet software program.
- Previous AS400 (Aplus) experience preferred.
- Demonstrated/effective organizational skills, conflict management skills, and problem solving skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
