Open Position: Local Sales Manager (Full Time)

Reports to: Director of Sales KPIX / CW / CBSN
Date Available: Immediate – open until filled

Overview & Responsibilities:
KPIX / KBCW / CBS San Francisco is looking for a dynamic leader with a proven history of developing a strong sales team and growing revenue. This leadership position is responsible for leading local and out of market sales activities for our broadcast and digital platforms. The ideal candidate must be a strategic problem solver, team leader, motivator and ability to work in a combined environment with a senior team of managers toward a common goal. Under the direction of the VP/Director of Sales, this position will co-manage the team to improve sales revenue across the CBS Local Media assets in the Bay Area and in its other Local Media markets. Candidate will have a proven record as a hard-working leader who empowers, motivates and holds their Account Executives accountable to demonstrate superior media assets and achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals. Candidate is an innovative problem solver who formulates short and long term strategies, is highly proficient in analytics, leads by example, loves to sell and possesses excellent recruitment skills to attract and retain dedicated Account Executives. This is a key sales leadership role for the nation’s top media sales organization.

Basic Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of TV and Digital Media sales products and services, research and audience measurement.
Must be innovative, demonstrate leadership, and capable of multi-tasking.
Media sales management experience in a Top 10 market and national sales experience in TV and Digital Media preferred.
Excellent management, leadership, sales and interpersonal skills.
Active business relationships with Media Agencies and Marketers on the West Coast.
Proficiency in Excel, Power Point and Word.
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Communication or Marketing is preferred.

Physical Demands:
Must be able to sit at desk and operate a keyboard for an extended period of time.
Travel and/or drive to client meetings and/or presentations.
Effectively communicate (in English) both verbally and in writing.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $140,000.00 - 220,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is eligible to earn sales incentive compensation.
