As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with clients to provide excellent customer service and support with sales & account management, including responding to requests for proposals and renewals, and supporting projects as needed. In this role, you will also have the chance to use your problem-solving skills and creativity to help employees navigate the complex world of health claims, enrolling or terminating them on various carrier websites as needed.
To be successful in this role, you should have strong people skills and be a team player with a proactive, flexible, and entrepreneurial mindset. You should also be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and be able to adjust to shifting priorities and market changes with ease. A state of Illinois license for life and health insurance is preferred.

In addition to the responsibilities and skills mentioned above, as an employee at R.W. Garrett Agency Inc., you can expect to:
- Participate in new sales, renewal and strategy meetings, taking notes and creating follow-up action items.
- Manage the carrier implementation process and paperwork.
- Build and develop various projects and presentations.
- Interact with clients, vendors, and other staff, using your excellent people skills.
- Assist with employee advocacy and service issues, such as claim and billing reconciliation.
- Manage the request for proposal (RFP) process for medical and ancillary benefits.
- Review carrier proposals for accuracy and create spreadsheet alternatives as needed.
- Handle incoming calls and emails in a timely and efficient manner.
