Sales Account Development Specialist - Home Depot
Job description
As a Trex Account Development Specialist you’ll manage sales initiatives and cultivate relationships with the Home Depot operations management team.
A member of our Sales Team, you’ll be helping us meet sales goals by managing projects, executing communications for Territory Account Representatives, and managing accounts receivables/payables with Home Depot and distributors.
DUTIES
- Work directly with Home Depot’s managed account events manager that oversees their events.
- Negotiate the optimal Trex presence, compared to our competition and other vendors, by ensuring we are present at every event, have the best location at those events and that our event sponsorships appropriately reflect our position.
- Collaborate with Home Depot’s marketing team on strategies to sell and execute various marketing events.
- Monitor and analyze performance for key initiatives.
- Work with appropriate Home Depot HQ and HD Quote Center personnel and Trex personnel to ensure optimal execution. You will manage:
- New store sets, resets and display execution.
- DC product flow optimization and forecast accuracy.
- New product development.
- Miscellaneous customer initiatives.
- Manage communication of monthly executional priorities with Territory Account Representatives.
- Enter purchase orders and processing checks to third-party vendors and distributors.
- Work with Trex Accounting Team on retailer deductions, payments and claims.
- Maintain payment processing with retailers.
- Manage and track team budget and process payments and enter monthly accruals.
- Develop strong working relationships maintain communication frequencies with key retail contacts at corporate headquarters and operations division levels.
- Work directly with Home Depot’s merchandising specialist for decking, along with our distributors, to manage the Home Depot Quote Center execution.
- Maintain responsibility as the point of contact internally with marketing, customer care, customer experience, customer service and accounting.
- Pull and analyze ad-hoc weekly sales reports from HomeDepotLink via Vendor Drill, and mine weekly reporting from Sales Analyst.
- Assist director with presentation development.
- Place and ensure shipment of all SA orders.
EXPERIENCE
A four-year college degree with key account sales experience and a proven track record of success is required. Experience with mass retail/big box is desired. If you’ve worked as a project manager or an account manager, you’re Trex material for sure.
Have experience with project management? You’ll fit in just fine.
