This position will be part of the aircraft maintenance team supporting the F-35 Aeronautics Field Sustainment (AFS) Interim Contract Support (ICS) operations at Luke AFB, AZ.

This position will be part of the aircraft maintenance team supporting the F-35 Aeronautics Field Sustainment (AFS) Interim Contract Support (ICS) operations at Luke AFB, AZ.
Responsibilities include:
- Develops and implements the safety program to prevent and correct unsafe environmental working conditions using knowledge of industry processes and industry health and safety laws.
- Oversees AFS Ground Safety and Foreign Object Damage (FOD) contractor program requirements at Luke. Inspects associated AFS flight line work areas to ensure fire and safety equipment and facilities comply with required safety plans and applicable regulations.
- Investigates AFS accidents to minimize and prevent future recurrence.
- Perform spot inspections on related AFS Safety and FOD programs as needed. Ensures contract required safety practices are met.
- Provide Confined Space, First Aid, and Hazard Abatement training. May evaluate and/or oversee AFS contractors' performance ensuring safety standards are met. Interact with Lockheed AFS maintenance leaders on aircraft and personnel safety matters.
- May be required to deploy short notice travel for business, short or long term TDY to support customer requirements or AFS program requirements.
- Must be capable of working first (1st), second (2nd), third (3rd), and weekend shift(s) dependent on customer requirements or AFS mission needs.
- Physical Requirements: Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist during inspections or training events.
- Must have at least an Interim Secret Security Clearance.
- Must be a US Citizen. Must be able to obtain a Final Secret Clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:
The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with 2 years related experience. Will accept 4 years related experience without a Bachelor's degree.
Related experience must be in the following skill sets:
- Experience as 5 skill level in USAF Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC), Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC), Marine Military Occupational Specialty (MOS), or Army Military MOS aircraft maintenance discipline.
- At least 2 years minimum experience with military flight line aircraft operations and associated safety program requirements.
- Experience with Air Force Occupational Safety and Health (AFOSH), Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), Flightline Safety, Fall Protection, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) and Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) programs.

- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college
- Experience providing On-the-Job Training
- Understand application of safety principles, concepts, practices, and standards to include knowledge of industry and company practices.
- Understanding of military fighter aircraft systems, aircraft maintenance activities and high tempo flight operations.
- Prior fifth generation aircraft maintenance and flight operational experience a plus.
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of USAF 21-101, AFMAN 91-203
- Ability to work a flexible shift schedule
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
