Job Summary
True Roofers is looking for an experienced (5 years +), full-time roofer to join our team. Our company specializes in roof repairs and replacements for the Wesley Chapel, Plant City, and Lakeland, FL area. We are the fastest-growing roofing company in Central Florida!
As one of our Lead Roofing Technician, you will be responsible for constructing safe and durable roofs for our clients and fixing damaged parts such as broken shingles. Our office is located in Plant City, Florida.
Requirements for Roofer Position:
- Experience as a roofer for 5+ years
- Excellent carpentry skills
- Experience using various hand tools and equipment such as scaffolds, shingle cutters, and roofing hatchets while taking safety rules into consideration
- Ability to handle materials like wood or asphalt for different roofing styles and tasks
- Physical strength and good balance
- Ability to work at heights and steep slopes for long hours
- An apprenticeship or license in roofing is a plus
- Reliable transportation to our Plant City location.
Roofer Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintenance of all roof systems including BUR, Modified Bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC, and slope (tile/shingles)
- Build roofs using various materials and tools
- Deliver projects within the timeline
- Inspect damages and estimate costs of labor
- Repair or replace broken materials
- Remove debris from roofs to place materials
- Smooth out roof surfaces and fill in edges with cement
- Ensure each roof protects buildings from weather conditions such as rain or snow
- Follow safety rules
