Overview

Summit Materials is looking for a mechanically inclined, safety-oriented Asphalt Roller Operator to work in a Sand and Gravel or Asphalt Manufacturing Environment. As a member of your team, the success of this operation is very dependent on your willingness and desire to be a team player. Seek for opportunities to make your co-workers successful. Roles & Responsibilities

• Break down asphalt behind pavers to achieve consistent density and establish rolling pattern with tester
• Finish-roll asphalt to obtain final compaction and remove any roller lines
• Notify crew of any mat defects overlooked before rolling
• Assist crew with shoveling and raking
• Assist crew with Job site set up and clean up

Skills & Experience

• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary
• Report to the assigned job site in proper attire and ready to begin work at the designated start time
• Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Policies, Programs & Procedures Manual
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required

Compensation Range:

$24.00 per hour
