RN - Ortho Coordinator - FT
Job description
The Ortho/Safety Coordinator position is responsible to act as a liaison with the Orthopedic Surgeons and clinical staff, work with patients having Total Joint Replacement surgeries, collect and validate data related to the Orthopedic Center of Excellence certification/re-certification and provide safety programs meeting AORN and ASPAN standards.
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Minimum Education
RN- Associates required / BSN or higher preferred
Required Skills
ACLS on hire
Successfully obtains Laser/Safety Officer certification within first year of hire.
Required Skills
Must be an effective educator and strive for personal growth and education to insure all aspects of safety are maintained in the surgical services area. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
