Job description
Position: ReStore Director
Reports To: Executive Director of Harbor Habitat for Humanity
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Fund Raising, Marketing and Community Relations
· Develop strategies to increase and maintain the profitability of the ReStore.
· Identify additional opportunities for fund raising.
· Draft brochures and other materials describing the advantages of ReStore contributions.
· Market the ReStore through the media, and town events in an appropriate and cost-conscious manner.
· Represent program through personal contacts and public speaking engagements.
· Develop a partnership with other Habitat ReStores.
B. Manage ReStore Operations
· Monitor expenses within budgeting constraints.
· Orient staff and volunteers to the mission of HHFH and the role of the ReStore within that mission.
· Ensure proper training is provided to staff and volunteers.
· Supervise ReStore staff and conduct performance reviews.
· Supervise maintenance of facility and equipment.
· Spend time on sales floor, when possible.
C. Ensure Accountability to Funding Sources and Board of Directors
· Oversee preparation of monthly reports for Executive Director and Board of Directors.
· Prepare program/progress reports on a timely basis.
· Prepare monthly general reports and financial expenditure reports.
· Prepare annual budget for the Harbor Habitat ReStore
D. Develop and Implement Policies and Procedures
· Maintain and enforce policies and procedures relating to the daily operations of the ReStore.
· Identify policies that need to be drafted and recommend modifications to existing policies.
REQUIREMENTS:
This individual must understand and appreciate the mission of Harbor Habitat for Humanity. Candidate must possess above-average written and verbal skills. Individual must have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work in a fast paced environment, and the ability to multi-task. The candidate must be detail oriented and able to work independently. Must be able to work with all kinds of individuals, and remain consistent in keeping a professional demeanor. This individual must have experience working with major donors and the ability to communicate professionally with them. This individual must also have knowledge of sales and marketing. The candidate must also possess basic computer skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This individual will be expected to assist the staff in performing store functions and, therefore, must be able to lift up to 100 pounds. Candidate will also experience frequent bending, squatting, lifting, repetitive motion, considerable standing and occasionally working in extreme weather conditions.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
BA or BS preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
NICE TO HAVE:
· Chauffeur’s license
· Knowledge of construction materials
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $36,503.62 - $43,961.35 per year
