Program Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
General Statement of Duties
The Program Manager performs a variety of professional, supervisory and technical duties relating to the development, coordination, implementation, and management of Innercept’s residential treatment programs and performs other related work as required.
The Program Manager performs all duties and responds to the needs of Innercept students, staff, customers and community congruent with our Integral philosophy.
The principal function of a Program Manager is the development and management of a team to provide services as decided upon by the Treatment Team for the individual residents. The Program Manager reports directly to the Director of Programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to the following
- Manage staff assigned as direct reports; ensure adequate staffing coverage; provide instruction, direction, and ongoing development to include completing all performance evaluations as required;
- Assess continual readiness, safety of residents, probability of clinical outcomes, and the provision of therapeutic support and interventions needed;
- Initiate and lead related activities at group and individual levels in the milieu as well as at various facilities within the Innercept organization;
- Collaborate with Therapists in identifying the therapeutic training needs of the staff which are necessary to maintaining a therapeutic milieu and to meeting the specialized needs of clients in care;
- Coach and demonstrate daily life skills in accordance with the resident’s treatment plan;
- Provide observation and support for Therapists and other members of the Treatment Team through consistent and concise communication;
- Make appropriate decisions about activities, groups and events for the residential milieu;
- Review documentation, storage and delivery of resident’s medication;
- Manage program budget and maintain records for requests and expenditures;
- Conduct house and team meetings;
- Participate in Treatment Team meetings, Team Calls, staff meetings and other assigned information gatherings;
- Facilitate and participate in various household duties, to include but not limited to meal preparation and cleaning tasks;
- Coordinate and participate in transporting residents to other Innercept facilities and various offsite locations;
- Accompany residents on various outings and opportunities within the community;
- Remain alert to status and whereabouts of all residents in your care;
- Ensure the residence and property are well maintained, organized and clean; report any maintenance issues promptly and ensure timely completion;
- Coordinate resident visits away from the residential home, including with whom, when, transportation arrangements and length of visit;
- Support an integral therapeutic approach, with specific attention and support to Innercept practices and the philosophy of Integral Psychology;
- Document parent contact via phone calls and e-mail to collect and relay information regarding the resident and his/her progress in the program;
- Provide clean, healthy and appropriate care for all domestic animals residing on the property, if applicable;
- Support residents and co-workers during times of instability that may include but not limited to resident inflicted self-harm, property damage, physical aggression and elopement; acting at all times in accordance with Innercept’s behavior support policy;
- Follow Innercept’s reporting procedures for all suspected incidents of abuse, neglect or abandonment of a resident;
- Complete all documentation, reports and inspections per direction;
- Be available for rotational on-call duties; to include weekday evenings and weekend response;
- Perform all other duties as required.

Ability to:
- Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance of information processed or prepared;

- Appropriately engage and interact with adolescents and young adults who are struggling with healthy life practices;
- Follow instructions and communicate effectively both orally and in writing;

- Maintain positive and effective working relationships with other employees, residents, other customers and the public;
- Prioritize multifaceted duties and responsibilities of comparable importance;
- Direct, supervise and provide constructive feedback to direct reports;
- Make decisions and act appropriately in stressful situations with the potential of volatility;
- Operate standard office equipment, including a personal computer and mobile phone using program applications appropriate to assigned duties;
· Display consistent responsiveness to staff, residents, and the public with an attitude and presentation of professionalism and exemplary customer service;
- Prepare, present, and record reports, documents, and information;
- Use logical and creative thought processes to develop solutions in alignment with Innercept’s intent and practices;
- Understand and model Innercept’s Intention, Integral Life Practices and Therapeutic Lifestyle changes;
· Remain flexible in meeting the scheduling needs of the program and individual residents.
Qualifications, Experience and Training Required
- Experience working with adolescents, young adults and/or families;
- Experience working with an interdisciplinary team in a residential treatment setting;
- Experience with de-escalation, crisis management and effective assessment of risk and safety issues;
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or four years of experience managing in a team setting;
- Must be at least 21 years old;
- Possess a valid state issued driver’s license;
- Ability to pass an Idaho Department of Health and Welfare background check, tuberculosis and drug screening test;
- Obtain First Aid / CPR certification within 90 days of hire and maintain certification throughout employment.
