We are looking for a dedicated Registration and EVS Clerk in Emergency Services like you to be a part of our team.

Job Summary

The Registration and EVS Clerk contributes to high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of clerical tasks. They function as receptionist and Registrar for the unit and assists the patient care team while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment as a Housekeeper.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification required upon hire or within 30 days of employment
• Public contact and clerical experience preferred
• Housekeeping experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills and computer skills required
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple functions preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and multi-line phone preferred
• This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).

What you will do in this role:

Under the general direction of the Department Director, performs the following duties:

• Sets the tone for the department through excellent customer service and congeniality
• Performs general clerical duties by preparing, compiling and maintaining records in a patient care unit
• Acts as the receptionist for the unit and is responsible for the telephone system
• Works closely with the ED staff for the delivery of high quality patient care
• Completes the registration process for all new patients
• Is tactful and courteous in personal contacts and telephone conversations with all patients, visitors, Medical Staff, and personnel from all departments
• Cleaning/disinfecting treatment areas, administrative and public areas of the ED, transport of red-bag trash, brown-bag trash, dirty linen, sharps containers, and housekeeping supplies, and stocking supply shelves
• Other duties assigned upon need
