National Spine & Ortho Surgery Center of Fort Myers is seeking a full-time OR Circulating Nurse to join our team of highly trained, caring professionals at our ASC located at 4035 Evans Avenue, Fort Myers FL.

• Schedule: Full Time, Monday – Friday (no weekends, holidays, or on-call)

IN THIS POSITION YOU WILL:

• Support NSPC's mission, vision, and values.
• Provide direct nursing care under the direction of the Nurse Manager, utilizing standard nursing techniques to assist the physician in optimum patient outcomes following facility policies and procedures.
• Assist with patient procedures and the implementation of provider care plans.
• Observe and enforce strict standards of asepsis, environmental cleanliness, and traffic control in the operating room.
• Direct unlicensed, assistive personnel of the perioperative team towards safe and competent patient care.
• Provide hand-off reports to other teammates that are accurate, concise, and pertinent to the patient’s condition.
• Document nursing care completely, accurately, and legibly.
• Collaborate effectively with other disciplines as needed.
  

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

• A valid FL Registered Nurse license, Compact State or Multi-State license (if applicable).
• Minimum of one-year experience in an operating room setting; preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
• Current BLS and ACLS (or able to obtain ACLS within 30 days of employment)
• Knowledge of EMR and/or Electronic Practice Management systems and technologies, preferably Centricity and Modernizing Medicine.
• Proficiency in the use of computers and related software such as Microsoft Office is necessary.
• The capacity to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment, while demonstrating resourcefulness and proactivity.
• Excellent organizational/multi-tasking skills with acute attention to detail.
• Ability to always provide outstanding customer service by communicating effectively and professionally with a diverse population.
• Authorization to work in the United States without requiring authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
• Completion of satisfactory background check inclusive of driving records, criminal records, employment references, education, social security, and OIG exclusions.
