Job Description:

Facilitates the nutrition care process in order to provide the patient with optimal medical nutrition therapy.

Scope

1.Counsels and instructs outpatients and/or families providing written instructionmaterials
2. Evaluates and documents patient and/or caregiver understanding of diet based on behavioral objectives.
3. Evaluates, interprets and uses pertinent current research relating to nutrition in order to develop and revise education materials and teaching outlines
4. Responds to telephone requests/referrals, sending information as appropriate.
5. Participates in programs and education for staff, patients and community.
6. Documentation and Billing.
7. Documents patient visits and bills patients for services according to established policy and procedures.
8. Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards.



Minimum Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree with dietetic internship or equivalent is required
• Registration with the ADA Commission on Dietitian Registration is required Current BLS or ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire is required

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$23.57 - $40.52
