ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Demonstrates competence in assessing and interpreting nutritional needs of the client and implementing nutritional plans in all programs offered here at The Works Facility. Programs include The Works Weight Management Program, Osteoporosis Prevention, Prenatal, as well as other specialty programs.
a. Completes assessments and re-assessments using pre-determined parameters
b. Assesses and identifies needs for all clients and recommends appropriate action plans for the client to follow per industry standards
c. Writes thorough nutrition notes and uses the appropriate documentation tool to document assessment and care plan
2. Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others. Has respect for and understanding of other disciplines.
Uses an integrated approach toward client outcomes. Demonstrates competence in communicating appropriate.
nutritional care data with the appropriate members of the client's care team.
a. Maintains pertinent communication with the client's care team in order to improve outcomes.
b. Attends inter-disciplinary meetings as needed.
c. Collaborates with the multi-disciplinary team to increase knowledge and incorporates that knowledge into the nutrition plan of care
d. Participates in work groups or committees.
3. Demonstrates competence in coaching clients and/or significant other on the implementation of their nutrition plan with a wide range of nutritional needs.
a. Individualizes instructions to meet the needs of the client.
b. Provides appropriate written diet information to the client.
4. Demonstrates the ability to reach targeted revenue goals and manage expenses.
a. Responsible for establishing available hours based on targeted goals developed with direct supervisor and the executive director of The Works.
b. Responsible for developing an implementing an effective recruitment program into The Works.
c. Responsible for managing expenses within budgeted profit margins.
d. Develops and maintains an effective schedule for clients. Annual goals will be set with the direct supervisor and/or executive director to determine no-show rate expectations to be met.
5. Act as a resource to The Works employees, members and the community to provide nutritional education as needed
a. Provide educational in-services the members of The Works as needed. Frequency to be determined with direct supervisor.
b. Provide educational in-services to employees of The Works to optimize client outcomes. Frequency to be determined with direct supervisor.
c. Provide educational in-services on services and outcomes of services to the medical community. Frequency to be determined with direct supervisor.
6. To effectively market nutritional services to physicians and the medical community
a. Visit appropriate community service lines to market and promote nutritional services. Frequency to be determined with direct supervisor.
b. Develop marketing materials to support nutritional services in outside locations as determined with direct supervisor.
7. To manage personal time and schedule to effectively meet the needs of the clients and other off-site opportunities that becomes available.
a. Willing to travel as needed to off-site locations in a time efficient way
b. Ability to produce program management reports to direct supervisor and executive manager by specified due dates.
c. Ability to manage client schedule while keeping up with necessary documentation

Qualifications

- One year of previous experience preferred
- Education Minimum Required
- BS in nutrition
- Education Preferred/Desired
- BS with a certification in a specialized area or MS in nutrition
- Special Skills Minimum Required

- Licensed Dietitian, Registered Dietician
