About Us

Animating Principle has two private psychological therapy practices located in Montrose, CA (Glendale 91208). We provide high-quality psychological therapy services to adults, children, and teens on a variety of mental health issues but specialize in ADHD, anxiety, and working with gifted and high-functioning individuals. We are a boutique, high-end, non-insurance, private practice with a modern approach to therapy. We value out-of-the-box thinkers, and believe that therapy should be tailored to each individual client.

Job Description

Seeking BBS Registered AMFT to provide in-person psychological therapy services to all ages, but must be willing to work with children and teens. We are looking for a local candidate in the Los Angeles area (Montrose, La Canada, La Crescenta, Glendale, Pasadena, Burbank, San Gabriel Valley). The successful candidate will receive quality weekly supervision and full support as they work towards licensure. Successful candidates will be featured on our existing website and Psychology Today profile, will have their own individual Psychology Today profile paid for by us, will receive marketing materials and referrals, and will have access to our Electronic Health Records system (Simple Practice) to easily manage scheduling and record keeping. Billing, and other non-clinical administrative and client services, will be provided by our Client Services Administrator. This is a highly competitive position. Only strong candidates should apply. Qualifications

Required:

• Master's in relevant field
• Valid California driver's license
• Live scan
• Active BBS Associate registration number in good standing
• Strong writing, theoretical, and clinical skills
• Willingness to receive constructive feedback
• Committed to seeing private practice clients exclusively at Animating Principle
• Willingness to work with children and teens
• Strong references
• Must have your own laptop/computer
• Candidates must be willing to demonstrate live/recorded clinical and documentation skills as part of the hiring process
• Late afternoon and evening availability
• If hired, the willingness to have Sponsorship (financial hardship) clients in your caseload at a reduced clinician rate of $30/clinical hour (3 for 15+ clients per week; 2 for 10-14 clients per week; 1 for under 10 clients per week)

Strongly Preferred:

• Willingness to learn more about ADHD and anxiety to work with children and teens with ADHD and anxiety
• Saturday availability
• Solid understanding of some of the realities that set private practice work apart from other settings such as agencies, clinics, residential, IOP, etc. and the potential pros and cons of working in a private practice setting
