Radio Electronics Technician (SLMR-2023-18668)
Bowhead seeks a Electronics Technician in the Quantico, VA area familiar with Land and Mobile Radio systems
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot the FBI’s encrypted, two-way FM radio systems and Internet
Protocol (IP) techniques. - Order, maintain, and deploy mobile and portable two-way radios and accessories through
established contracts. - Develop and maintain radio system networks, as well as solve radio system engineering problems
to include infrastructure and subscriber components, propagation, frequency allocations, radio
frequency interference, land-mobile concepts, and linking technology. - Prepare technical written reports articulating radio system design, performance, and objectives
while maintaining continual liaison with field office technical personnel to facilitate the
installation, operation, and maintenance of the FBI’s radio system.
Education – Preferred a degree in information systems, electronics theory, or the equivalent combination
of education, technical certifications, and training.
Experience – Requires minimum 5 to 7 years of related experience- TS Clearance
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret clearance at this location.
