Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Buyer/Purchasing Manager at a non-automotive tier 1 company in Spartanburg, SC.

Responsibilities

• Review requisitions, purchase orders, and vouchers for accuracy.
• Identify and determine the demand of supplies
• Meet with vendors seeking to establish relationships with the firm.
• Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.
• Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices.
• Ability to negotiate with suppliers.
• Expedites purchase orders.
• Verify invoices, receiving of documents and inventory to submit to accounting.
• Maintains accurate vendor/department files
• Work closely with Maintenance and Production departments.

Required Education/Experience

• High School degree, diploma or a GED equivalent.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in purchasing with minimum of 2 – 3 years of experience in manufacturing buying.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience working with an ERP system such as M3 or SAP.
• Experience with ISO 9000, ISO/TS16949, ISO14001 / OHSAS 18001.
• Excellent written and oral communications, inter-personal skills and an ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines.
• Should have good leadership and organizational skills and the ability to work well with other team members.
• Must be a self-starter and self-motivated with the ability to manage stress.
• Must be detailed oriented and well-organized while working efficiently within a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

• On call
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Spartanburg, SC: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Required)

Experience:

• Negotiation: 5 years (Preferred)
• Purchasing: 7 years (Preferred)
