SALARY INFORMATION: Up to $35 Per Hour/Pay Grade L/Job Code HCP191
Under general supervision, provides professional nursing care in accordance with established nurse protocols. Works in the program area of adult health (STD, Breast and Cervical Cancer Program, Family Planning), but may also work in child health immunization/travel clinics. Performs client assessment, provides treatments, educates clients on health problems and provide the necessary referrals to internal and external health care providers. Assist with weekly and monthly vaccine inventory, and performs other duties as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university AND current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse AND CPR certification OR associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND One year of nursing experience AND completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: In addition to the minimum qualifications, preference will be given to applicants with Public Health Nursing experience. Experience working with Refugees, administering vaccines, and multilingual is also desired.
