Job description
The candidate will report through operations leadership. The candidate will work individually, and as part of the Process Safety team, and will provide processing operations with process safety and operational integrity support.
- Assist the company’s OSHA and EPA regulated facilities with managing, coordinating, and implementing all fourteen (14) elements of the PSM standard and the additional requirements of the EPA’s Risk Management Plan (RMP) to verify and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Interact and collaborate with third party process safety professionals regarding regulatory compliance.
- Conduct internal PSM and RMP compliance audits.
- Facilitate and/or participate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA).
- Facilitate the Management of Change (MOC) process.
- Facilitate pre-startup safety reviews (PSSR) for new facilities, facility modifications and expansions.
- Proficient in reading and understanding Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Participate in and lead PSM incident investigations, using root cause failure analysis.
- Develop and implement key performance indicators to track the progress of facility PSM programs.
- Develop Emergency Response Plans and coordinate the plans with the local emergency provider committees (LEPC)
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- 8+ years of related experience including 3 – 5 years of experience in a PSM regulated process facility.
- Understanding of OSHA, PSM and the EPA’s RMP regulations.
- Ability to work as a team player.

Preferred Skills:
- Formal PSM 1910.119 training
- PSM auditor certification
- Natural gas midstream processing and equipment knowledge
- Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) storage and handling knowledge
