Prosecutor’s Clerk (Part Time) –Administration Position#: 120-081-01

POSITION SUMMARY

The City of Grandview is accepting applications for the part time position of Prosecutor’s Clerk. The purpose of this position is to perform clerical and recordkeeping duties related to the Prosecutor’s Office. The work is performed under the supervision of the City Attorney. This is a part time position with a Monday through Friday schedule, must be able to work Monday evening court sessions.

Job Responsibilities (Include, but not limited to)

• Performs customer service
• Receives and records proof of insurance, answers questions from the public and other interested parties or refers to appropriate person or agency regarding court calendar, fines, docket and other administrative matters
• Receives and records citations and outside agency bonds from the police department
• Enters data to computer records regarding court information and citations
• Initiates files for cases
• Sorts and files documents
• Assembles files for court proceedings and prints court docket
• Types warrants, subpoenas, correspondence, reports and other materials from written and oral instructions
• Assists Prosecutor as needed
• All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with six months prior office support experience, prior court clerk experience preferred, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Certifications in ALERT data systems required within two months of hire.

Pay

$14.00-$16.00 per hour. The City of Grandview offers part time employees paid holidays and PTO accrual.
