Job description

My client with offices in Weston is looking for an experienced property accountant to join this stable and well managed property management company. Company offers an excellent and professional working environment as well as a very competitive compensation package.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting and reporting functions for a portfolio consisting of 15-18 properties
• Works closely with management partners to ensure proper reporting to all relevant parties
• Manages and completes the monthly close for assigned properties and prepare required financial reports as needed
• Responsible for annual close and support the yearend audit process, and works closely with all accounting partners
• Maintain general ledgers, reconcile accounts, and make required adjustments as needed
• Perform recurring financial analysis and analytical procedures in the evaluation of property performance and discuss same with management and owners.
• Assist in preparation of annual operating budget
• Works and supports onsite Property Managers and other site personnel in all aspects of financial reporting
• Create and follow and checks and balance system that will Identify weaknesses and or inconsistencies in the accounting system and recommend and implement improvements/changes as needed

Qualifications:

• BA or BS in Accounting or Finance
• 3 plus years of professional experience preferably concentrated in a real estate operator/developer environment, or in public accounting.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and to work independently in an organized manner with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency Word and Excel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $88,000.00 per year
