Position Purpose
The
Project Manager – ViaTRM manages the transition campus-wide of the current travel management system to ViaTRM, collaborates with various stakeholder and user units on campus to develop the requisite knowledge and experience in the new system to support conversion to new technical and business processes, and is a resource for the campus as the capacity in the new systems is established.

Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Two years of experience in change management, project management, system migration.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to set priorities and adhere to deadlines.
- Ability to learn new systems, databases, and to become proficient quickly.
- Experience as a trainer and experience in documenting workflow, processes, and policies.
- Demonstrated skill in problem-solving, decision-making, and trouble shooting.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with a wide range of constituencies both on- and off-campus.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and to handling highly sensitive information.
- Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse community.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working IT system updates and migrations.

Description
Project Planning and Preparation – Creates project plan for transition and implementation; meets with stakeholders, Information, Technology & Consulting (ITC) , vendor; becomes comfortable/expert in the new platform; works with each stakeholder unit to assess their holdings and prepares mitigation strategies for any identified gaps in service/features; drafts stakeholder and community communications.

Implementation – Updates established project plan as needed; meets with stakeholders, ITC, and vendor to address questions, gaps, etc.; creates Dartmouth-specific documentation/user information in the new system and other rollout materials including web-based tutorial and FAQs; works with each stakeholder to update current processes to new processes and workflow; works with units to efficiently migrate data from legacy and new system; works with vendor, ITC, and unit to address any final gaps in functionality.

System Administration – Establishes and documents system administrator role which will include training as a system super-user, vendor relations, being the point person for questions from stakeholders and admins within those units managing unit data and programs in the new system.
