As a Project Manager at JBT,* you will manage industrial food equipment installations from order to startup. You with coordinate with external suppliers amd manage field service installation teams at customer locations. You will be responsible for determining the technical schedule and financial performance of each project. You will serve as the primary point of contact for Customers, Engineering, Sales, Service, Manufacturing, and Purchasing for the life cycle of the project.*
Responsibilities:
*

• Actively participates in established proposal/budget/project review meetings with Segment Leader, to identify possible risks and to ensure a satisfied customer.
• Actively tracks project progress, cost, and financial performance.
• Manages customer expectations with respect to scope of work, project schedule, and buyer/seller responsibilities.
• Confirms customer’s agreement/completion of their mechanical and production start-up responsibilities.
• Builds and maintains a positive relationship with customers and suppliers associated with assigned projects.
• Co-develops final delivery of equipment, installation, mechanical start-up, and production start-up.
• Participates in onsite customer kick-off meetings and pre-installation meeting for projects.
• Resolves field installation problems by maintaining close contact all stakeholders.
• Utilizes the ERP system (Syteline) for projects.
• Provides a monthly forecast of expected project completion, costs, COV and final gross margin. Arranges a pos project reviews.
• Creates and implement long term corrective actions plans in collaboration with Engineering Leadership. Routes warranty issues to Product Manager and Segment Leader.
• Responsible for updating CAD Drawings and assisting with site layout configuration

Qualifications:Required:*
*

• Bachelors Degree required.
• Agriculture, Food Science, Mechanical, or Engineering background preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 40% per year (at times over the weekend for up to 2-3 weeks at a time) to support project installations.

Preferred:*
*

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a project installation/management/field service/ capital equipment environment role.

• Certification in Project Management (PMP through PMI or equivalent)
• Technical background in manufacturing, fabrication, construction, and service disciplines
• Ability to establish relationships with customers and internal project support team member
• Strong organizational, negotiating, planning and influencing skills, verbal and written
• Ability to develop, monitor, analyze, and control project budgets
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and assembly drawings
• Preventive and corrective action skills
• Strong reporting and presentation skills

Cold and wet environments at food processing plants domestic and global.
