To be a good fit in this position, you will be detail-oriented, organized, collaborative, with construction industry knowledge. As Project Manager, you will work directly with the President and Estimators and be responsible for managing multiple complex construction projects simultaneously, including communication and coordination with trade partners, vendors, and clients from beginning stages to project completion.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Start to finish management of construction projects.
- Creating & managing project and trade partner schedules, including publishing a 3-week look-ahead schedule.
- Material and quantity take-off’s and purchasing.
- Extensive use of Procore, including creating job book, reporting project progress daily, etc.
- Submit billings, invoices, and track for reconciliation with Project Administrator.
- Ensuring all job sites are clean and professional at all times.
- Creating a solid relationship with clients and trade partners in order to manage any issues that arise, and assure all details are given attention.
- Ensuring all required permits are in place.
- Collaborate with Project Administrator to ensure contracts are in place with trade partners and monitor for scope gaps.
- Work with owner/client to choose finishes to help them stay within their budget, addressing any budget adjustments.
- Manage change orders, working with Project Administrator to ensure items are properly recorded and billed.
- Study plans to anticipate any design flaws or possible issues.
- Review & approve trade submittals.
- Manage punch list items to ensure on-time completion, as well as managing trade partner punch list items & seeing them to completion.
- Turn over house on schedule and with all tasks complete and provide owner with a completed job book.
- Work with the safety manager to keep our jobsites safe and up to OSHA standards
- Project Closeout (Job book, materials, specs, certificate of occupancy etc.)
Skills & Abilities
- 5+ Years of construction project management experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, Sage 100 Contractor, Microsoft Project, Planswift, Dropbox, and willing to learn any other programs as necessary.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the strong ability to maintain composure and remain level-headed in tense situations.
- Excels at working in a team environment.
- Reliable, dependable, punctual & honest.
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to read drawings and specifications.
- Emotional intelligence in support of collaboration & positive relationships.
Job Type: Full Time (50 hours per week)
Compensation: $80,000-$110,000 Annually
