As a Project Management Manger Sr. within PNC's Merchant Solutions Group, you will be required to occasionally travel. This is a remote position that can sit within the PNC footprint, although it may not be available in all jurisdictions.

The Project Management Manager Sr. will lead a team of project and program managers that comprise the Merchant Solutions Program Management Office. This team will be responsible for the governance of the Merchant Solutions program to include reporting the status of the program on a regular basis, handling the change process and documentation, as well as the steering committee briefing meetings to inform various stakeholders on the overall status and health.

This key role will help create, articulate, and document the policies, procedures, frameworks, and standards that will be used to govern PNC Merchant Solutions. This role will also be responsible for establishing an intake process and incorporating across teams to ensure new requests, enhancements, or updates are documented and prioritized appropriately.

Top candidates will be critical thinkers with a dynamic communication skills and the ability to influence across functional teams and manage third party partner relationships and represent PNC externally.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. MBA or Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 8+ years project management, product and or program management experience.
  • 3+ years of management experience with coaching and leadership skills.
  • Excellent project management skills; PMP is a plus.
  • Previous payments, issuing, and/or acquiring experience.
  • Creative problem solving skills with the ability to influence others.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and executive presentation skills.
Job Description

Directs and leads project management department. Is accountable for team's success of project meeting objectives and timeframes. No requirement for project size.
Oversees strategy, processes, resource allocation, budget, guidelines and support of project management team.
Coaches and mentors project managers. Builds, develops, and grows relationships with business partners.
Monitors effectiveness of project management strategies and programs; initiates improvements as necessary.
Creates and maintains communications with governing bodies and interested parties. Partners with liaisons to ensure communication of critical issues in a timely manner.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry experience is typically 8+ years. At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Base salary range ($80,000 to $185,150) commensurate based on skills and experience. Position is eligible for incentive payout based on company and individual performance.
