Position Summary. A Project Coordinator supports the Project Management Team that is responsible for all aspects of the design, manufacturing, and delivery of products and services.

Personal Characteristics. Certain personal characteristics, which are somewhat inherent and difficult to teach, are necessary for long-term success in this role. Candidates will possess:

· Resourcefulness to efficiently and creatively solve problems

· Ability to enter data and produce accurate, quality reports and documents

· Ability to effectively communicate technical information

· Initiative to set goals and follow through to achieve them

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare material requisitions and track their status

· Coordinate with the jobsite: Deliveries to the site / Progress updates

· Attend meetings in the office or other locations as necessary

· Coordinate with subcontractors

· Assist the Team with administrative

· Gather and organize project documents

· Understand and follow project schedules

· Work collaboratively with internal departments

· Build and maintain a working relationship with the customer

· Help identify potential risks to the project and work with the Project Management Team to mitigate

· Assist in project closeout efforts

· Read and interpret design, fabrication, and erection drawings

· Evaluate and document the performance of Merrill subcontractors for consideration on future projects

Skills, Abilities, and Experience

· Education:

o Preferred: Associate Degree in Business, Engineering or Drafting

o Considered: Experience in construction/manufacturing

· Experience:

o Preferred: 1-2 years of experience in related field

o Considered: Willing to train the right candidate

· Software: Experience with or ability to become efficient with the following applications:

o Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel and Word)

o MRP Software (StruMIS)

o Accounting Software (Vista Viewpoint)

o PDF Editor/Bluebeam

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,000.00 - $46,000.00 per year
