Project Coordinator
Job description
Edwards Moving & Rigging, an industry leader in the heavy haul and specialized rigging field who is headquartered in Shelbyville, Kentucky has an opening for the position of Project Coordinator positioned in the Indianapolis area.
The Project Coordinator will assist the Large Projects Team and collaborate with cross-functional teams, external customers and vendors to organize, coordinate, and streamline communications through internal and external platforms and applications allowing greater efficiency in the planning, execution, and follow up for large scale projects. The Project Coordinator will coordinate multiple projects and effectively communicate the details, status and equipment needs to team, management and our customers.
A successful candidate in this role will have:
- An advanced and proficient working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs.
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera or other similar software programs is a plus.
- Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be organized, detailed, and able to handle multiple critical and time sensitive tasks simultaneously.
- Assists in the development of projects throughout the life-cycle of the project including:
Pre-qualifications
Development of Proposals
Coordination with Engineering Department
Development of Method Statements (site/route surveys, permit submittal,
equipment allocation, support services, site requirements)
Coordination with the Operations Department for project scheduling and
resource allocation
- Assists in development and maintains current project information on the Company Project Form (PF) platform to meet changing needs of the project
- Assists in project close-out with the Finance Department
- Assists the Large Projects Team in customer, project, and market research.
Prior experience in the power and or construction industry is a plus.
A Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, logistics, supply chain management, or related field from an accredited college or university is preferred.
Prior Project Coordination or Management experience is a plus.
Must possess a strong value system through work ethic, honesty, and integrity.
Must be willing and able to travel at least 75%.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
