Summary:
Under general direction from the Buyer of Hotel Services & Contracts, the Project Coordinator will support the purchase and contracting of various types of material, equipment, supplies, and services for new hotel construction and operating hotels as needed, in a manner consistent with Drury Hotels standards of excellence and cost effectiveness.
Job Duties:
- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders as needed.
- Review and confirm order acknowledgments provided by vendors; including acknowledgment of delivery dates, accuracy of materials ordered, quantities and pricing.
- Maintain master documents for service contracts and capital expenditure projects.
- Distribute monthly reports as requested.
- Communicate with vendors regarding lead times, status of orders, expedition of orders to meet required dates, as well as, tracking information when materials ship.
- Investigate invoices that are not correct and works with vendor for resolution.
- Create impact reports for proposed price changes.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Three to five years of experience in similar field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Keen attention to detail; Results driven
- Effective problem solving/critical thinking skills
- Possess high level of organizational and interpersonal skills
- Team player who works productively with a wide range of people
- Motivated self-starter, comfortable in fast-paced environment
