Your Role at Baxter

The Program Manager is a field-based role, responsible for the coordination and preparation of Care Solutions customer-awarded projects to the State of California and Baxter specifications. Program Managers supervise all aspects of the architectural design and change management process required for hand off to a Project Manager. This role plays an integral part in planning customer technology roadmaps and customer attainment strategy.

What you'll be doing

• Project risk assessment and mitigation, revenue forecasting, customer communication and internal stakeholder management.

• Mentoring new members of the team and serve as Subject Matter Expert.

• Sit on special committees and/or participate in regional or division special projects.

• Serve as the first layer of escalation or advice for their peers within the region.

• Responsible for RFPs, MSAs.

• Assist with tactical portions of project assignment and provide escalation path for customer success and sales partners.

• Act with autonomy as the point of contact for all client project related needs during an active implementation, including, strong, proactive, project leadership; Drive follow-ups.

• Lead project scope and results across multiple, concurrent engagements.

• Continually assess and prioritize defined sequence tasks, through individual effort and coordination of the work of others.

• Deploy customer specific communication strategy to achieve desired results.

• Translate technical information from technical to non-technical resources to meet project and regulatory requirements

• Consult with customers and Baxter sales team on long-term technology strategy.

• Act as a resource for sales team during long-term planning sessions.

• Travel 25%.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, IT, business, or related industry.

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in IT, hospital, or construction project management.

• Foundational understanding California Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) requirements and communication strategies, required.

• History working within customers’ IT departments. Ability to discuss networking, virtual server deployments, IT security concerns, remote connectivity, and software deployment methodology.

• Experience with consultative project management approach.

• PMP or other industry related certification(s) a plus.

• Possess a high level of Care Comm specific, process and product knowledge, preferred.

• Skills for synthesizing broad information into concise practical plans.

• Recognized leadership abilities with positive and self-motivated attitude.

• Ability to facilitate, lead and empower large, diverse groups without direct line authority.

• Confidence interacting with customer’s ‘C’ level management, and Baxter senior management.

• Solid ability to communicate critical instruction, both written and verbal.

• Technical proficiency, i.e., general understanding of intermediate networking and server concepts.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a salary range of $68,000 - $156,000 plus an annual incentive bonus. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
