Position Summary Information
Basic Function
This is a one year, grant funded position, with the potential for renewal.
This position will direct Sponsor Training and Support in the University Sponsorship Program at Every Campus A Refuge and be responsible for the design, development and implementation of the University Sponsorship Program sponsor training modules, ongoing support mechanisms, and resources. The position will build on ECAR’s established resources and be supported by other ECAR staff and independent contractors.

Duties and Responsibilities
Specifically, this position will:
- Design and deliver university-specific training modules to prospective campus sponsor groups to ensure they are aware of and prepared to provide the required core resettlement, academic, and integration services over the program’s required sponsorship period and beyond.
- Design university-specific resources and materials that will enhance and strengthen trainings: such as an electronic implementation handbook, implementation checklists, state-specific guides on public benefits and services, and best practices.
- Design, lead, and deliver ongoing support to campus sponsor groups through a community of practice (CoP): such as monthly 1-hour sessions to build capacity; one-on-one meetings, surveys, and periodic check-ins.
- Design and implement reporting and survey mechanisms for campus sponsor groups to track completion and implementation of the program.
- Work with ECAR staff to design and implement evaluation of trainings and support mechanisms.
- Recruit, train, and manage trainers in the second and third of the program.
- Support Executive Director in developing related trainings, resources, and materials.
- Work with the Executive Director to ensure compliance with grant terms and reporting.
- Work with the Senior Program Coordinator to ensure effective communications, logistics and operations, accurate budgeting, and design of resources.
- Identify challenges and issues encountered by campus sponsor groups and coordinate with CSH resolution of issues.
- Participate in standing consortium and working group meetings and liaise with consortium partners, as needed.
- Represent ECAR and the Private University Sponsorship Program at public speaking engagements and serve as the liaison for the Program to other organizations at meetings and conferences.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduate degree or an equivalent combination of formal education and 5 years of experience required.

- Have experience in teaching or training
- Have experience in designing/developing curricular modules and/or training
- Be knowledgeable about contemporary issues around immigration and refugee issues (especially resettlement), including local, state, and federal policies impacting immigrants and refugees as well as higher education and education pathways available to refugees and immigrants in North America
- Excellent public speaking, presentation, and audience engagement skills
- Positive, enthusiastic, energetic
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex tasks independently
- Knows how to manage their time efficiently, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when needed, including travel
- Detail oriented, checks their work carefully, and delivers high quality work that is error free
- Supervisory experience
- Strong leadership and communication (interpersonal, verbal, written) skills
