POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for managing referrals and overseeing enrollment of new clients (women only) while providing managerial support to the treatment center team. In addition, this manager will provide substance abuse disorder counseling inside of a new residential treatment center for pregnant and parenting women (PPW) delivering ASAM 3.5 and 3.1 level of care. This will be a dynamic position leading a small team and will be required to manage both individual counseling and treatment groups. Maintain an active caseload of 3-5 clients depending on frequency of client treatment plan and size of groups. The position reports to the Program Director and a Medical Director. This individual will work within a Special Connections program framework that is a gender responsive program maximizing the chance of a healthy birth to provide postpartum services to maintain gains made during pregnancy. Special Connections providers offer pregnancy risk assessments, care coordination services, group counseling sessions, individual counseling sessions, health education groups, and residential substance use disorder treatment in a women-only setting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical Services

· Provide clinical interventions that address women specific issues, substance using pregnant women and women with dependent children and their families.

· Conduct evaluations, assessments, individual counseling support and education and treatment groups for diverse populations, and provide care coordination with multiple providers

· Identify client’s needs for prenatal care, mental health care/evaluation, substance abuse counseling, housing, domestic violence shelter, prevention, and/or counseling, TANF, and make appropriate referrals.

· Aid in the process of child protection in substance abusing homes. Assist with family reunification.

· Identify client’s needs for mental health care/evaluation, substance abuse counseling, and making appropriate referrals when necessary.

· Utilize treatment approaches that implement ethical, culturally competent, evidence base practices.

· Identify strategies or methods to aid clients in the reduction of substance use or ideally abstinence from AOD and increase their self-sufficiency and self-empowerment.

Management, Administration and Supervision

This role performs service coordination that includes, but is not limited to, the following:

· Work with community partners to managing referrals to the program and oversee the administration of assessments and creation of treatment plans.

· Manage staffing and schedules, planning service calendar with treatment team.

· Work with ancillary services to support the needs of clients such as doulas, midwives, massage, parenting instructors, etc.

· Document all client encounters and filing of such documentation in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records, which include client charts as well as internal and external reports; maintain confidentiality and privacy per standards with records.

· Create and maintain regular correspondence and reports regarding client progress, UA results, and attendance.

· Work on a highly collaborative team, integrate with overall organization and interface with the community.

· Manage/attend client staffing with other agencies and entities with which clients are involved when indicated.

· Provide clinical supervision for other credentialed staff members.

· Attend and participate in staff meetings.

· Attend and/or participate or interact with donors, attend community events, or fundraising as requested.

· Produce documentation timely as requested for audits and audit resolutions.

· Maintain office environment to professional standards and display abundant teaming skills.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

· Licensed clinical professional with a master’s in Social Work or Psychology with a professional license (LCSW, LMFT or LPC) required for State of CO required.

· LAC license is preferred; Minimum of a CAS II required.

· Knowledge and application of ASAM and DSM IV.

· Knowledge and application of code of ethics associated with respective counseling certifications and licenses.

· Completion of appropriate continuing education requirements every year to maintain licenses and certifications.

· Understanding of regulations and standards regarding privacy and confidentiality.

· Self-starter and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

· PC skills required, use of electronic record keeping applications, use of spreadsheets, including PowerPoint and Word.

· Professional communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $78,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
