MKS Instruments is seeking a Production Technician 3 to join the team.
Has substantial understanding of the job, and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks. Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments
Responsible for the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Determines and may develop test specs, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams. Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems. May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires experience in testing digital and/or analog systems.
- Ability to read complicated drawings, mathematics, handbook formulas and a variety of testing and measuring instruments.
- An Associates degree, military technical training or equivalent vocational training is required.
- Minimum of 2 – 4 years of related experience.
Requires soldering skills and possibly mechanical aptitude skills. As required, prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.
