Video Production Specialist

Purpose: Reporting to the Art Director, this role is responsible for creating high-quality video content that communicates our organizations message, vision, and brand to our target audience across digital platforms. In this highly collaborative role, this person works cross-functionally with Marketing, Content, Communications, Design and Media teams (among others) to plan, produce, and deliver video content that engages and inspires viewers.

Reports to: Art Director

Hybrid Work Schedule: This position currently has a hybrid schedule which includes working at home on Monday and Friday and being in the office Tuesday through Thursday each week.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and develop video content that aligns with the organization's brand and marketing goals.
• Manage all aspects of video production, including scripting, filming, editing, and post-production, including outsourcing with contractors.
• Operate cameras, lighting equipment, and audio recording equipment to capture high-quality video and audio footage as needed.
• Edit video footage and audio tracks using professional editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer to produce a final product, including color grading and sound mixing.
• Add special effects, animation, and other visual elements to enhance video content as appropriate.
• Work with graphic designers to create visual elements, such as logos, titles, and graphics, to be used in video content.
• Manage video assets, including archiving and organizing footage and maintaining backups of all files.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and techniques in video production and incorporate new ideas and approaches into video content as appropriate.
• Manage production budgets and timelines, ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budget.

• Deliver video content in a variety of formats and platforms, such as YouTube, social media, and email.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong technical skills, including proficiency with professional video editing software, camera equipment, lighting, and audio recording equipment.
• Strong storytelling skills, with the ability to develop compelling narratives and creative concepts for video content. Knowledge of StoryBrand a plus.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Experience with motion graphics, animation, and visual effects is a plus.

Education, Experience, and Other Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in video production, film, communications, or a related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in video production, including experience with scripting, filming, editing, and post-production.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders, including marketing teams, designers, and project managers.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
• A vital relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and an active participant of a local church that holds to a historic, orthodox understanding of biblical Christianity.
