Production Team Lead

Shift: Full-Time

5:30 am – 4:30 pm – Monday thru Friday (Saturdays, when scheduled)

Pay Range: $17.00/ hour

General Summary

The production leader is responsible for being a leadership resource to team members, providing knowledge, experience, motivation, support, and advice. The leader is responsible for knowing proper procedures for workers to follow and ensuring that they comply. The production team leader encourages team effort and supportive attitudes between workers.

The Team Leader is responsible for the safety and productivity of all production employees staffed on designated team. The Team Leader is accountable for ensuring that production scheduled for completion is executed in a timely manner and within all quality parameters.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Team Leader should arrive in production room 30 minutes prior to scheduled start time to evaluate manufacturing equipment for safety and functionality, ensure that the room is ready for production and make sure you have all materials needed for production.
• Motivate workers to enhance production quantity and at the same time maintain high production standards.
• Ensure that all SKU’s are packed according to production schedule.
• Ensure the quality of the product, accuracy of weights, correct labels are placed on boxes, and troubleshoot any problems that may arise.
• Ensure that all employees are following the company’s GMP’s and report any employee who are not following the policy.
• Make sure that employees do not leave 5 to 15 minutes before breaks or lunch.
• During breaks and lunch time, Team Leader will ensure promptness in returning to production area.
• At the beginning of the shift after breaks and lunch, conduct periodic spot checks for gum chewing, jewelry worn, nail polish and tardiness.
• Assist employees on the line, if needed and train new and temporary employees.
• Maintain inventory control of packaging materials with the Inventory Control Specialist.
• Must be knowledgeable of our HACCP plan and CCP’s.

Pay: $17.00 per hour

• Food management: 1 year (Preferred)
