As a Production Control I, you'll assist with creating production schedules to establish the build sequence, duration and lead times of fabrication, assembly, installation, test and other manufacturing operations to meet completion dates defined by the contract.
You'll learn to prepare and release production work packages, identify problems, and provide scheduling alternatives and workaround. You'll assist with coordinating the availability and timeliness of materials and parts required to support established schedules, recording weekly status of program progress and setbacks, and closing out work packages.

Must-haves:

Associate's degree in a related field of study

A higher level degree may substitute for experience

Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

Exposure to the manufacturing environment

Basic understanding of production and material control processes

Familiarity with MS Excel and MS Access
Preferred:
-
Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) II production scheduling system or MRP I material management software

Experience with MS Project, MS PowerPoint and Visio
APICS certification is preferred -
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, NASA, the US Department of Defense or US Military
