SUMMARY
The Production Assistant is directly responsible for organizing and overseeing the administrative efforts and data acquisition and performance management of our manufacturing activities. You will be ultimately responsible for the preparation and communication of our manufacturing documentation, data and metrics to help ensure quality, productivity and shipping targets are achieved on a daily, weekly and monthly basis while enabling data accuracy and ERP system integrity.

The ultimate objective is to ensure we have clearly communicated goals, reliable manufacturing information, as well as accurate inventory and costing data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and verify employee attendance timecards. Correct any errors and identify areas where data accuracy issues repeat.
- Monitors and corrects data integrity issues from labor reporting in ERP system - daily.
- Review and track work order status to ensure accurate reflection of Work In Progress (WIP). Notify production managers of WIP issues to be investigated.
- Working in close collaboration with Scheduling Manager review, publish and distribute the production schedules for each machine – mixers, presses, sanding, CNC and finishing operations.
- Ensure dispatch folders have all appropriate paperwork (work orders) to support production schedules.
- Monitors staff/machine and area performance through evaluation of plant execution to manufacturing standards. Notifies Engineering of changes to standards or engineering masters required to effectively develop and execute the production plan.
- Audits compliance to manufacturing documentation, including quality assurance steps.
- Ensures accurate record keeping through storage and management of key manufacturing, quality & shipping documentation.
- Other duties which may be assigned or requested on an as needed basis.

Education and/or Experience:
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience working in ERP software (INFOR) and MRP systems
- Experience in manufacturing/process engineering environment. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
- Experience should include a diversified background featuring, manufacturing experience, and strong technical skills.
- Knowledge of brakes/clutches or experience with friction material being a plus.
- Working knowledge of SPC and ISO 9001 is advantageous.

- Occasional lifting from 10 to 50 pounds.

- Requires a valid drivers’ license with occasional trips being done.
- Regularly exposed to a work environment having dust and moderate noise/heat.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
