Job functions:

  • Develop and manage a sales strategy for the respective product lines that captures the available market. Work with Territory Managers and principles to execute the strategy.
  • Identify and develop relationships to grow sales with key distributors, customers, factories.
  • Communicate Client sales activities and needs with key factory contacts such that both companies’ needs are met and addressed.
  • Own the quote, order, and commission process Attain and deliver quotes in a timely fashion Understand what information is needed to get a complete, competitive quote
  • Follow up on quotes to ensure principles get competitive market knowledge
  • Know how to seek alternative, winning solutions.
  • Process Orders Ensure orders are transferred to principles in a timely fashion
  • Ensure customers are notified of delivery changes
  • Ensure quote and order data is good so internal reports and trends are accurate.
  • Maintain and organize historical and active files.
  • Ensure correct commissions are received.
  • Manage warranty and RGA’s. Ensure product issues are addressed and necessary communications occur both with factories and customers.
  • Track/verify opportunities

Skills and traits needed:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Computer skills: Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and be efficient typist.
  • Character: Must be a proactive, forward-thinking, self-starter.
  • Communicator: Must be a good communicator and have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Expectations:

  • Work from office in historic Wake Forest, NC.
  • Report to Operations Manager

Compensation:

  • Initial Compensation: .
  • Base salary.
  • Annual bonus (40% individual, 40% company performance, 20% teamwork). Guaranteed first year bonus can be negotiated.
  • Employer sponsored pension and profit-sharing program, does have a vesting period. Historically been 20% or salary and bonus, 100% contributed by company.
  • Medical for individual; employees can pay for dependents to be included, FSA available.
  • 20 days PTO/year.

Client is a manufacturers' representative company for the electric utility industry. We specialize in tools and materials for the transmission, substation, distribution, renewable, fiber optic, and lighting markets. We represent approximately 25 manufacturers for the Carolinas, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and Southern New Jersey. With the expansion of Duke Energy into Florida and the Midwest, we have become the single point of contact for many of our principals and are actively supporting those regions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
