Job description
The Product Configuration Specialist is a key role within the Product Management department at Mity Inc. responsible for overseeing all raw and finished good item creation, including finished good item configuration, creation of the bill of materials, and component level setup and routing. Experience in the areas listed below is a plus, but entry-level candidates will also be considered on a basis of aptitude and proven organization & problem-solving skills. This position will include other product management-related duties based on company needs and candidate skill sets/interests and may provide growth opportunities within product management, engineering/product development, IT, finance, supply chain, or other areas at Mity.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily management of Experlogix CPQ software
- Review, update, and own item & BOM creation processes
- Coordinate with Product Development/Engineering on new item and component creation during new product launches, engineering change requests, etc.
- Perform regular BOM audits to ensure proper material consumption
- Drive the methodology around product master data infrastructure
- Other product management related duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or IT Systems (preferred)
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (preferred, not required)
- Experience with Experlogix CPQ software (preferred, not required)
- Proven ability to analyze data and create data management systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written).
