Job Description:

Hands-on role within the plant to engage and empower team members to identify, understand, and implement sustainable process improvements. Assist in documentation of processes to help resolve operational issues as they arise. Partner with operations team to identify and execute continuous improvement projects to support ACS’s goals for safety, quality, delivery and excellence every time to our customers.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Capable of developing and documenting new business processes and/or optimizing existing processes as required.

• Partner with operations management, to identify opportunities, utilize continuous improvement tools to obtain measurable and sustainable results.

• Identify and work on key projects in the plant.
• Actively participate in Plant Daily Management by creating visual documentation for (SQDP)

• Support Safety & Quality Initiatives by participating in Safety and Quality Audits where needed.
• Develop and maintain a layout of the shop floor with the details of all the process flow and parts presentation to the stations.
• Create a report of the top 5 problems that take down time to the output.
• Develop training document to each of the processes.
• Track all the process modifications/changes needed to update the process documents as well as the training documents.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• 5+ years relevant professional experience
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management preferred.
• 1-2 years Lean Manufacturing experience.
• LSS Yellow or Green belt certification
• Knowledge of MS Office, Visio & AutoCAD

• Knowledge of assembly, piping, hand tools, compressors, and welding procedures (desirable)
• Stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl while working on equipment.

• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Anything over 50 lbs requires a team lift effort.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment. The work location may be 60°F to above 100°F ambient in areas of production.
