Job description
We are located in beautiful Noblesville, Indiana. As a member of the healthcare team here at Riverview Health, the Speech Therapist demonstrates active patient advocacy to ensure all rights are identified and met for every patient. The Speech Therapist encompasses all duties relating to providing exemplary patient care services at Riverview Health. Outstanding customer service skills and understanding of confidentiality and productivity are required by the Speech Therapist. This is a PRN position, or "as-needed."
Speech Therapist Job Functions:
- Review physician's prescription, patient's condition and medical records to determine speech therapy treatment required.
- Test and measure patient's speech and language, and record findings to identify a therapy diagnosis and develop or revise a comprehensive plan of care.
- Plan and prepare a written evaluation report and treatment program based on evaluation of patient data
- Develop and update an appropriate plan of care in collaboration with the patient and family related to the patient's age and lifestyle with measurable long and short term goals and a defined discharge plan
Speech Therapist Job Requirements:
- Minimum Education: Master of Speech Pathology
- Minimum Experience: some patient care experience
- Other Requirements: CPR, State Issued license
