What you will do

· Provide technical support to immediate and external work groups, regarding engineering design and interpretation of industry standards.

· Take on projects that require research and advanced technical knowledge well beyond that required for regular and routine Engineering assignments.

· Serves as project lead on various technical projects, and is proactive in assisting other sections in finding solutions to complex problems.

· Leads formal and informal meetings concerning assigned projects and is able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel both in the office and field crews.

· Assigns, directs and reviews the work of assigned engineers and/or other employees associated with an assignment. Consults on problems of a technical nature encountered during various work assignments.

What you bring

• B.S. degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in power or mechanical equipment related classes.
• Fifteen (15) years or more professional experience at an electric utility company in a Substation engineering role or illustrate equal competency.
• Has attained Arizona Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.).
• Able to make technical and business decisions without immediate supervision.
• Demonstrates exceptional analytical capabilities with excellent personal computer skills.
