We are looking for a leadership driven, security passionate Principal Product Manager to be the connective tissue between our security goals as a company and the product teams across Microsoft Security while providing unique strategic insights and disruptive thinking, driving the company into the next generation security. Our focus is on collaborating and connecting the teams to ensure our security high bar and our core security principles with a best in class structure of values.

You will initially work on defining the protection needs for Microsoft’s flagship AI, the Copilot applications built on top of the generative Large Language Models (LLM) closely collaborating with AI-research and AI-engineering teams across Microsoft.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the team in the MS Security CTO Office to create the vision of securing Copilot applications.
  • Work with teams across Microsoft Security to ensure they are equipped to meet Microsoft’s security high bar.
  • Work with Microsoft Security drivers to surface alignment issues or course correct and work through them.
  • Collaborate with team in building models and methods that clearly and concisely surface insights to engineering teams and Microsoft senior leadership.
  • Drive impact and change through dovetailing into existing workflows and enterprise customer programs.
  • Stay educated on existing and emerging technologies, conducting PoCs to evaluate technology fits for customer needs.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of cybersecurity experience.

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements is required for this role.
    Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years people management experience with demonstrated success leading a security product or operations team for a large enterprise.
  • Experience with direct, remote, and virtual teams.
  • Experience translating problem solving techniques into measurable functional design.
  • Excellent judgment, decision making skills, and ability to work with deadlines.
  • Excellent presentation skills and experience presenting to senior leadership teams.

Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
