Primary Care Physician
Monday-Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
Full-time (40/hour per week)
Location: Lenoir City, TN

Minimum experience and education: Board-eligible or board-certified physician (M.D. or DO) from an accredited Medical School with progressively responsible management and/or clinical experience. Board Eligible or Board Certified. Licensed Medical Doctor in the state of Tennessee.
Primary Care Physician requirements:
- Collaborates with other members of the care team, including nurses, medical assistants, pharmacists, behavioral health providers, community health coordinators, to provide high quality clinical primary care to CHS patients
- Reviews patient file/record, including allergies, problems, medications, and immunization status.
- Examines patients for symptoms or physical information. Orders or executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient's condition.
- Analyzes reports and findings of tests and examination, and diagnoses condition of patient.
- Determines and prescribes medication, dosage, and schedule given the patient's condition and allergies.
- Prescribes and administers vaccinations to immunize patient from communicable diseases.
- Promotes health by advising patients about diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease.
- Performs surgical procedures commensurate with surgical competency. Refers patients to medical specialist for consultant services when necessary for patient's wellbeing.
- Documents the patient's visit including medical history, physical exam, diagnoses, and plan of action.
- Provides consultation, education, and clinical guidance to the care team on the unique needs and considerations of patient populations across the lifespan
- Maintains and documents the problem oriented medical record accurately after each patient visit and monitors health maintenance checks of patient panel.
- Carries out clinical supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the CHS’s policies and applicable laws.
