Press and Punch Brake Operator

**CNC PUNCH EXPERIENCE IS A MUST**

Summary: Produce parts using CNC equipment designed to make precision bends, punches, or cuts to sheet or plate metal when pressing; or trim, punch, shape, notch, draw or crimp metal when punching. Assembles, installs, and aligns dies in press according to specifications, using feelers, shims, templates, bolts, clamps, and wrenches.

Essential Functions:

• Preform typical press/punch operations to support the shop floor.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the manager.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required per the

P.M. charts.

• Set up tooling, load programs and set machine parameters for optimal performance
• Interpret drawings to ensure the proper dimensions of the part, bend angle, inside radius, and blank size, with acceptable tolerances for each
• Ensure all dyes are matched to the specifications provided
• Operate press and observe any possible misalignment or malfunction
• Check all tool paths are free of obstructions
• Ensure all equipment is shutdown/in a stable state before leaving your work area
• Account for time and work completed by signing in and out time spent on the job
• Report under-ran parts or replaced parts for jobs

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
