Hillside Academy is a nonprofit preschool-8th grade Christian school with a mission to foster future innovators through project-based learning. In our early learning program, we have developed a fun, play-based preschool curriculum with targeted learning objectives to give students the start they need. Activities also include developmentally appropriate academics and a hands-on STEAM-based curriculum to prepare children for kindergarten while inspiring a love of learning.

The Early Learning Teacher's Assistant will help implement activities for children, such as storytelling or art projects. They instruct and supervise them in social and developmental activities, assist with snack and lunch times, and generally provide one-on-one attention when needed. He or she must help organize the classroom and plan intellectual activities for children, per the lead teacher's requests.

The duties also include light cleaning, organizing, and communicating positively with children, parents, and other staff members. They also evaluate students' social development and physical well-being. The Early Learning teacher's assistant should be prepared to take on the role of lead teacher when needed.

Compensation: Range $16. 00 to $19. 00 Depending on Experience and Education

Desired Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of previous experience
• Age Groups: Infant, Toddler, Preschool
• High school diploma or GED
• First Aid Training, CPR Training

Valid CPR/First Aid Card

TB Test

Proof of MMR Vaccine

Childcare Basics training (30 hours)

Food Handlers Permit

Applicants need to be able to climb stairs, hold/lift children up to 6 years old as well as other lifting, and be able to sit or stand for periods of time.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.50 per hour
