We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Power Trader to join our team as we begin to build out our NYC and Calgary offices. The Power Trader will be responsible for trading financial power in NYISO, PJM, or MISO – including ICE, virtuals, and/or UTCs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the fundamentals of the electricity markets and have demonstrated a strong track record over the years. We are a team with a blend of youth and experience, and we are looking for candidates that share the same passion for markets and hunger to succeed in a fast-paced, growing company. Responsibilities:

Develop and execute profitable trading strategies in specialized markets (with room to focus on additional markets upon demonstrated success)

Manage risk and ensure compliance with market rules and regulations

Work collaboratively with developers and the floor to solidify fundamentals and optimize trading strategies

Monitor and analyze market trends and data to ensure strategies are relevant and continue to be profitable

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as finance, economics, engineering, etc.

At least 2-5 years of experience in power trading (NYISO, PJM, MISO)

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-based environment

Understanding of risk management and compliance requirements

Passion for markets and ability to work hard and play hard

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
