Bilingual Polish – English Speaking Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Job in Des Plaines, IL

Independent Contractor / Per Diem (W-9 only)

In need of a part-time Polish – English Speaking SLP in Des Plaines, IL. This position will be open to an SLP interested in working with children 2 - 12. Qualified candidates must speak fluent Polish and have a temporary or permanent Illinois license (IDFPR). Clinical Fellows may be considered.

Andrzej Lewandowski, MHS, MA, CCC-SLP/L, PEL, Polskojęzyczny Logopeda w Chicago®

Our founding speech therapist, Andrzej Lewandowski, MHS, MA, CCC-SLP/L, PEL, Polskojęzyczny Logopeda w Chicago® is an award-winning Illinois Early Intervention credentialed bilingual (Polish and English-speaking) speech therapy provider and a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and has worked in multiple environments ranging from schools to private practices. Having graduated from four universities, Andrzej continues to pursue continuing education opportunities at the Stanford University School of Medicine in order to provide quality, up-to-date services.

All therapists at Dempster work closely with families to help children find the best treatment plan for their needs.

Agnieszka Wójtowicz, MA, CCC-SLP, QBISP is a bilingual (Polish-English) Speech-Language Pathologist. She graduated with her master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Northern Illinois University in 2019. She also holds a bachelor's degree in Communications and Spanish. Agnieszka is a certified SLP in the state of Illinois, is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and Illinois Speech-Language-Hearing Association, is a Qualified Brain Injury Support Provider, and holds her PEL license for Illinois.

Agnieszka has experience working as an SLP with individuals across the lifespan and across various settings including public schools, therapeutic day and residential schools, skilled nursing facilities, home health, and private clinics. She has worked with individuals on the autism spectrum, with brain injuries, dementia, aphasia, expressive and receptive language delays, speech sound disorders, and a variety of other conditions.

In her free time, Agnieszka enjoys reading historical fiction, listening to science podcasts, gardening, and volunteering. She volunteers as a therapy dog handler, is on the Human Rights Committee of a nonprofit organization serving adults with developmental disabilities, and is the Co-Chapter Leader of a local National Stuttering Association chapter.
