Title:

Power Plant Service technician with extensive knowledge and experience with Cummins diesel engines back-up power generators 2000 KW or more. Power Generation mechanic will be responsible for maintaining 8 MW Power Plant. Technician provides direct field technical support of Cummins diesel engines in Power Plant.

Performing run and load tests, preventative maintenance, and repairing any equipment on diesel generators. Must be able to systematically troubleshoot and repair generators and ensuring the accessory equipment used with the generators are functional and repaired. Shall develop and implement a PM Program according with O&M, create critical spare parts list and create requisition for required maintenance and critical spare parts. Replace and/or repair gas compressors (turbochargers), head gaskets, seals, bearings, water pumps, fuel pumps, torque heads, belts and hoses. Test batteries, fuel coolant, and oil; ship oil samples for analysis if required. Work with a diverse, international, and multi-skilled workforce as well as work hand in hand with electricians. Able to maintain diesel generators include 8 bulk fuel storage tanks with motorized inlet and discharge valves, control and monitoring panel, fuel forwarding pump, and fuel polishing system. Able to operate Power management system (PMS) via computer screen. At least three years of experience with large size generators over 2MW.

Requirement:

Personnel working with or on electrical or electronic equipment must be trained and certified per NAVFAC MO-200

All operation, maintenance, and repair on power generators shall be performed by personnel trained and certified by the OEM.

All maintenance trade personnel certifying or inspecting repair or maintenance work that does not require an inspector certified by a governing directive shall be qualified at the journeyman level.

• Must possess, or be able to secure and maintain a Secret Security clearance
